i have a basis for my 'argument' because
the statement:

means nothing but what it says. there is

makes sense... but they just wanna be a
brat about it.
if i were to say:

you would derrive NOTHING more than what
i'm stating. i'm not asking you to 'throw'

hand me that 'cat'.... i'm specifically
giving you EXACT words for what i mean.
now since dj fucked up and didn't tell
whomever EXACT directions... they got lost
or tardy and he got mad.

I gotta side with GT on this one...sure if you want to start some argument which I assume shatzy is trying to do...you can very easily say first left is the first left...be it a driveway or whatever...but you know that you have been given directions saying make the first left after you passed, for example sake we'll say, railroad tracks...and what did you do?...you took the first left hand road...if you pulled into the first driveway you saw and wondered where to go next...I truly feel sorry for you...next left always means next place to turn left on the road...1st house on the left means first house on the left...you just want to argue...she fucked up, plain and simple...

my directions were as follows

i didnt read all of the first thread on DJ's board....but here is what i gather.
1) Cristi was going somwhere. A shopping center, it seems.
2) DJ gave her directions telling her to take 'the first left after blah blah"
3) Cristi passed up the first left and took some other left.
Now, as I said, I didnt all of the other thread so maybe I am missing something...but it seems to me that Cristi is the one at fault here.
Now as for any random driveway being the "first left" or whatever....I think that at some point the driver needs to logically think about it. In this case, if she is looking for a shopping center then obviously she isnt going to need to take the "first left" right into someones driveway.
Hmmm....I guess what Im saying is..."First left" means you take the first public road on the left.
Not a parking lot. Not a driveway.
If women are too dumb to understand that then so be it.

i just re-read DJ's original post.
She went over the railroad tracks, SAW the first left and passed it by.
And yet its DJ's fault for not being literal enough?
What if he had said "Run on over to the store and pick me up some underwear, honey." Is she supposed to assume he is being literal and actually put on her Nike's and run over there?
The simple fact is that women suck when involving anything to do with driving. I know this and you know this.
